Tragically, house building in Cornwall in the late 20th century largely ignored the rich heritage of fine older buildings which grew out of the landscape, and many stretches of coast and countryside are blighted by ill-considered modern buildings of little architectural merit. When we founded Rosemullion Homes in 1994 our mission was to start – in a small way – to reverse this trend. By looking carefully at historic houses in Cornish towns and villages, we try to capture the atmosphere of their surroundings in our new homes. Using locally sourced materials like stone, slate and colour-washed render, we build houses of traditional character that ‘go with the grain’ of their landscape.

Our mission statement:

We want Rosemullion Homes to create distinctive character in Cornwall; standing out from the crowd and being recognised for the integrity of our designs, structures and above all, our people - having attitudes and values rooted in Biblical principles.

Understanding that we are all always learning, we will readily listen to our clients and colleagues, treating individuals and their opinions with respect and working to increase our reputation for unusually high levels of service.

The homes we create should be unmistakably 'Rosemullion' in location, design, quality and materials, being built as well for our clients as for ourselves, with a policy of continuous improvement aimed at increasing standards of excellence.

Cornwall is a place of dramatic landscape. From the rugged cliffs of the north coast to the softer beauty of tree-lined southern creeks or the wild grandeur of the moors, its clear air and scenery has inspired generations of artists and delighted people who come here to find refreshment, as well as those of us fortunate enough to live here.
