Resident artist at Trinity Watch exhibits work in new show home

David Furzer, Rosemullion Homes’ Sales Executive at Trinity Watch in St Ives, was so impressed with the paintings by one of the residents that her art is now displayed in the new show home!

The new show home, which has just opened in home 15 – a stunning four bedroom detached house – features some 20 paintings by Sandy Rook who lives at Trinity Watch.

Sandy and her husband Roy had lived in Lelant, just three miles away, where they owned a bed and breakfast for over ten years. “It’s a great part of the world to be in if you’re an artist,” Sandy said. Inspired by her surroundings and her love of walking, she commented. “When I lived in Lelant I took lots of art classes in my spare time including life classes at the St Ives School of Art. I was gradually encouraged to exhibit some paintings and I started painting with three other ladies, so we decided to call ourselves The Painted Ladies.”

Sandy said: “We moved to Trinity Watch nearly a year ago and we’ve had such a wonderful experience. We have a stunning view of the bay featuring Grodrevy lighthouse and the homes are spectacular; built to such a high quality.

“One of the things that appealed to me about our new home is that it’s spilt level so I have the top room dedicated as a studio – it’s such a luxury. I can paint easily as the light is fantastic and there’s a store room so I can keep canvases tidied away.

“It’s a four bedroom property so when my two children come to stay it’s very practical and the location is very convenient too.

“Our whole experience with Rosemullion Homes has been outstanding. David Furzer, the Sales Executive is very attentive and has been a pleasure to deal with – it was David who noticed my work and encouraged me to let him display it; I was very pleased and the paintings look great in the new show home.”

The Painted Ladies’ next exhibition will be from 1st – 8th May at St Ives Bay Studio and 20% of everything they sell goes towards charity.
