Rosemullion Homes has always included a number of restoration/conversion projects amongst its output and is committed to the concept of sustainable development by renovating old buildings or building on previously developed land.
Examples from our portfolio include restored Grade II listed houses at Lemon Hill, Mylor Bridge, conversion of an old barn at Fentonluna Gardens, Padstow, the re-construction of a grand historic building at Clifden Gate, Truro, the restoration of a cattle barn and redundant farm house at St Pol de Leon View to new life and the crafting of a small exquisite new home from a ruined agricultural building – Trerethern Barn, near Padstow.
Looking forward to larger projects, Roger Carson was among 50 delegates invited to a reception at Admiralty House, London in February to hear the Minister of State for Housing launch the National Brownfield Strategy on behalf of English Partnerships.
The Minister outlined the pressing need to “re-cycle” derelict land wherever possible with more than 2000 sites covering almost 17,000 hectares (over 42,000 acres) currently lying unused throughout England. One of the pilot areas for the scheme is in Kerrier District, Cornwall, where Rosemullion Homes hopes to be able to contribute in planned regeneration initiatives.
