Location plans
Directions to St Michael's Reach: West Cornwall may be reached from London by road in about five hours, or by train from Paddington to Penzance in just over five hours. Marazion is a 10 minute taxi or bus trip from Penzance. Alternatively, flights can be taken from London Gatwick or London Stansted to Newquay Cornwall airport in about one hour. Marazion can be reached from Newquay by car in about an hour. Take the A30 dual carriageway west to the St Ives roundabout just after the Hayle estuary. Here branch left, continuing on the A30 for a further 3 miles. Just before the village of Crowlas, you will catch a tantalising glimpse of the castle at St Michael’s Mount on the skyline, and after passing through the village you will come over the brow of the hill and Mounts Bay will reveal itself before you, with St Michael’s Mount sitting like a jewel off to your left. Follow the A30 down to the Long Rock junction roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout signposted to Marazion. Follow this road until you reach the T junction at the seafront. Turn left over the railway bridge and follow this road to Marazion. St Michael’s Reach is located on the right hand side of Fore Street off Oates Road, opposite the old United Methodist Church, shortly after you’ve passed through the town centre. |
